Ever wondered why some people struggle to break free from addiction, even when they want to?
Do you want to make a difference in helping offenders and ex-offenders find their way back to stability?
Addiction is more than a matter of willpower, it’s a complex interplay of biology, behaviour, environment, and community. This training offers you the tools to understand it, the empathy to respond effectively, and the strategies to support recovery without enabling harmful behaviour.
What Is This Module About?
Pathways to Recovery is an 8-hour virtual training that gives volunteers a clear understanding of addiction in Singapore’s local context and equips them with practical ways to walk alongside those in recovery.
By the end, you’ll understand not only what addiction is but also how you can be a supportive, informed, and responsible presence in someone’s recovery journey.

Singapore’s laws, rehabilitation systems, and community responses
Barriers to recovery such as stigma, relapse, and reintegration challenges
